T K Industries, Inc. is a Wyoming-based corporation founded in 1993 for the purpose of manufacturing highway mowers. Initially TKI produced the specialty mower used for mowing around and beneath guardrails, delineator posts or other similar sized objects. TKI has expanded the mowing lines, and now manufactures and markets three essential, contractor-quality highway mowers and a guardrail-cleaning device.

TKI offers the following mowing equipment for your consideration:

Polecat: The Polecat eliminates the need to manually weed-eat or chemically treat vegetation in the tight spaces in and around objects. TKI expanded the capabilities of the Polecat by offering the cutting head widths of 4', 5', and 6' with height clearances of 6', 7'-6", and 9'-4". Compared to other methods of controlling vegetation, the Polecat easily pays for itself in a single mowing season.

Tomcat: This boom mower features a 20 feet reach from the mounting frame attached to the side of the tractor. The Tomcat's boom can rotate 90 degrees forward and 90 degrees to the rear of the kingpin support on the side of the tractor. The mowing deck is capable of tilting 200 degrees. Additionally, a retractable portion of the deck allows for mowing vegetation up to 8" in diameter while the deck is in the retracted position. This is a heavy, industrial-grade mower with a cutting head width of 5 feet. The independent mowing contractor who created, owned, and operated the Tomcat in Western Pennsylvania for over 10 years, is now working with TKI in developing new, contractor-quality mowing equipment.

Skatkat: Created due to the several requests from the contractor's loyal customer base in Pennsylvania, the Skatkat is a self-propelled mower featuring a 4' or 5' cutting width and the effortless capability of mowing a bank or side slope at a 45 degree angle. Joysticks on the operator's remote control "belly pack" allow the operator to control all mower functions. The front of the mowing deck also retracts to allow for the mowing of larger sized vegetation.

All TKI mowers incorporate safety features into the design. The Skatkat further enhances safety when mowing steep slopes, retention ponds, banks at airports, natural highway dividers, and a variety of otherwise inaccessible land formations. The Skatkat traverses these dangerous slopes alone while the operator is positioned on stable ground at a safe distance.

Side Dozer: An innovative guardrail cleaner, the Side Dozer attaches to the front of a skid loader and is used to remove sand accumulations beneath guardrails. The blade is 50" wide and solves under-rail drainage problems quickly. Another advantage of the Side Dozer is it minimizes the exposure of equipment in traffic lanes during operation. The Side Dozer is currently manufactured by a company in Pennsylvania.
